Mac Collins visits Eastman

Mac Collins meets with Dodge County Residents

(Eastman, GA) On Wednesday May 3rd, former Congressman Mac Collins (Ret. R-GA) met with voters in Eastman at the Side Track Café.

Mac Collins is the endorsed Republican candidate for United States Congress in Georgia’s new 8th District which includes all of Dodge County. The counties that make up the new 8th are Baldwin, Ben Hill, Bibb, Bleckley, Butts, Colquitt, Dodge, Houston, Irwin, Jasper, Jones, Laurens, Monroe, Newton, Pulaski, Tift, Turner, Twiggs, Wilcox, Wilkinson, and Worth.

The morning’s event was organized by members of the Dodge County Republican Party. Congressman Collins discussed topics ranging including the current energy crisis, illegal immigration, and federal tax reform.

“During my campaign against Democrat Jim Marshall, I have spoken with the hard working Georgians who live in the new 8th Congressional District. These are good people who pay their taxes, play by the rules, and support their churches. The majority of these folks have expressed major concerns about the impact of illegal immigration, the high price of gasoline, the need for tax reform, and national security. I hope to return to Congress and help fix these problems,” said Collins after Wednesday’s meeting.
